I know it’s been a while since you have seen anything here. I’ve wanted to keep it positive and that doesn’t exactly describe my frame of mind these days. Since Christmas the website has been under attack, stupid kids just trying to gain access to it. For me it was daily notices from the monitoring service I use to make sure it’s up and emails from the hosting company to let me know that the site was using excessive resources. I have taken action to prevent any further attempts.
Way way back in November, some of you were able to attend Faith’s 9th birthday party in the wake of Superstorm Sandy. We were so happy to have you all here and thankful to have her memory kept alive. We asked at the time if you could to please bring a small unwrapped gift that would be appropriate for a child Faith’s age. We collected four medium moving boxes full of gifts. We brought them all to Project Self-Sufficiency’s Season of Hope. We hope to be able to do this each year, we have a jar of “found money” accumulating all year that we want to spend on the best sales we can find to get the most gifts we can afford. I’ve posted the thank you letter we received from them here as it is a thank you to you all too.
More soon.
