14th Birthday Party

So it’s that time of year again, Faith’s birthday day is around the corner. It’s been a busy couple of months for the Moor family and this year we have decided to ease back a bit and not have a big party. We instead are having a family party. Sorry, that means no cupcakes!

Just a bit of news. Abbey & Jess are both doing very well at college, Jess will be graduating in the Spring of 2018. She was determined to complete her degree in 3 years and did. Abbey is in a 5 year masters program so she is on track to graduate as expected in the Spring of 2020.  We are all very proud of both and their accomplishments.

Sue’s Mom, Billie just moved into an assisted living facility up here in Branchville. She is turning 90 this November and is doing great for her age. She likes her new home and is making friends and enjoying her additional freedom.

Jon is doing well, he had a loss this year. His service dog, Morse, passed away in June after a short battle with cancer. He is very much missed by all who knew him.

Sue and I are still moving along, Sue has remained cancer free for almost 5 years now (Yay!)

So that’s about it, Faith would be turning 14 this year and I guess you can say she got a puppy for her birthday this year.

There have been some reports of strange lights or even fireworks on her birthday.  I don’t know the origin of these events, but all I’m saying is you never know.

Till next time.

Happy 13th Birthday Day Faith!

Thinking of You with Love
We thought of you with love today,
craftsman-wall-decalsbut that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday,
and days before that too.
We think of you in silence,
we often speak your name.
All we have are memories,
and your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake,
with which we will never part.
God has you in His keeping,
we have you in our hearts.
A million times we`ve wanted you.
A million times we cried.
If love could only have saved you,
you never would have died.
It broke our hearts to lose you.
But you didn`t go alone.
For a part of us went with you…
the day God called you Home.

This year I did something different.  I hope you enjoy Faith at some of her best, hopefully it will bring a smile to your face too.

“Gifts of Faith”

If you wish you may bring an unwrapped gift or donation that we will use to buy gifts for children who would otherwise not get any this Christmas. We are thinking of gifts for a 13-year-old girl or anything you might have that you want to re-gift. It’s totally optional, we are continuing this tradition for our family as a way of paying forward all the generosity and love that was shown to us and will do so as long as we are capable.
